Instance Type

If set, while the period is active the system will try to change the instance type of the EC2 instance to specified instance type. This can be leveraged for either scaling up or scaling down an instance size if there is going to be a period of increased or decreased usage.

Instance Type: Instance Type is the AWS instance type you would like the instance to be changed to during the defined period. Please refer here for instance types: AWS-Instance-Types

Common Usage: Monday through Friday businesses that still need their resources to run on the weekends, but the resources can be scaled down to reduce the excess cloud spend.
